PrintIQ secures its legacy and successfully sells to Banyan Software

PrintIQ, a high-end, modular print management information system (MIS) provider, announces it has been acquired by Banyan Software, a company focused on acquiring, building, and growing great enterprise software businesses.

Founded in 1999, printIQ provides custom software and business solutions to the print industry. Headquartered in Wellington, New Zealand and offices in Australia, the United States, Canada and the UK, the business focuses on the future of print, and is committed to helping printing companies optimise cost and product offerings with their market-leading, print-agnostic workflow management solutions.

PrintIQ worked with Morgan Shaw Advisory (MSA) over a three year period. MSA helped build printIQ’s long-term growth strategy and guide the team to deliver the ambitious business roadmap. Over the years, the business evolved from a New Zealand only business, to become a market leader in their sector, and create a group of companies employing more than 50 staff across five countries.

“With the help of Graham Morgan and his team, we were able to follow through with our ambitious plans and get the business ready for this exciting opportunity presented by Banyan. I am grateful for all the guidance and support received professionally as well as on a personal level.” Anthony Lew, CEO at printIQ

US-based Banyan Software has a mission to acquire, build and grow great software businesses that have dominant positions in niche markets all over the world. Their aim is to provide a permanent home for successful enterprise software companies, their employees, and customers.

According to Anthony, “it was a blessing to have MSA represent us in this transaction with Banyan”. MSA managed the long and complex transaction process with the aim to achieve the best result and minimise the stress and distraction for all parties involved. “We felt the MSA team always represented our best interests”, Anthony commented.

MSA is excited to have found such good new home for printIQ, and at the same time we are sad to see such a wonderful client continue its legacy with someone else. We wish the printIQ team all the best and a great continuation of their success story.
